Welcome to our Website

Our all weather undercover bowls green is the newest bowls centre available in Brisbane.   Whether it be night or day, rain, hail or shine you can bowl on our undercover  bowls green.  It features 8 rinks and can take a maximum of 64 players at any time.

Whether you are a bowler or someone who wants to organise a social event for your group,  we can cater for you. Close by is a barbeque area for catering, a viewing lounge with a fully  equipped bar facility, poker machines and a bistro and hall for a function.

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES

MONDAY:       No play unless programmed.

TUESDAY:       Ladies Day 8.30am, play 9.30am, finish12.30pm, Lunch 1.00pm

                        Corporate Bowls 6.00pm.

WEDNESDAY: Men\'s Pairs 9.00am & 12.30pm.   Mixed Bowls 6.30pm.

THURSDAY:   Mixed Triples 12.30pm.

FRIDAY:        Ladies alternative Fridays.   Mixed Bowls 6.30pm.

SATURDAY:  Mixed fours/triples 12.30pm.

SUNDAY:       Club Competitions, programmed games, barefoot bowls.

ImageOUR CERIANN PLAYS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE THIS WEEKEND AT POTTERS

MATCHROOM SPORT is pleased to announce the six-player line up for the inaugural PartyCasino.com Premier League Bowls which takes place at Potters Leisure Resort in Norfolk from 6-8 June.  The six competitors have gained entry into the event as champions of major World Bowls Tour ranking events, including two wild cards, selected for their recent achievements.  

Sponsored by PartyCasino.com, the Premier League will feature 15 round-robin matches of ten ends duration as all the competitors play each other once. There will be two points for a win a one each for a draw.            Following the conclusion of the round robin play, the top four will advance to the big money play-offs where the format will be one match of 11 ends.

 The six players are:

Alex Marshall (Scotland): WBT World Ranking: 1            The 41 year-old sales manager from East Lothian qualifies via his win at the Potters Holidays World Indoor Championship in January this year.  It was his fourth World Indoor title in six years and his record fifth in total.

 Paul Foster (Scotland): WBT World Ranking: 5   Hailing from Troon in Ayrshire, Foster won the engage International Open at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, in November last year to secure his slot in the Premier League.  A three-time winner of the World Indoor Championship in 1998, 2001 and 2005. 

Mark Royal          (England): WBT World Ranking: 6   Royal bowled some of the best woods of is life to claim the Welsh International Open in Llanelli in February and with it one of the six Premier League spots.  The 33 year-old from Stowmarket in Suffolk has a long list of titles going back to the late 90s. 

Andy Thomson (England): WBT World Ranking: 8   An England International, Thomson claimed the Great British Mobility Group Scottish International Open in Perth at the end of last year to qualify for the Premier League.  At 52, South Londoner Thomson will be the veteran in the field and is a 1994 and ’95 World Indoor Champion. 

Greg Harlow (England)WBT World Ranking: 2=   39-year-old Harlow grabs one of the wildcard spots off the back of a good season that saw him finish the season as No2 in the World Rankings.  Victory in the Cooperative Funeralcare World Matchplay in 2007 was a highlight for the Cambridgeshire-based Harlow who was also an International Open winner in ’04, ’05 and ‘06.

 Ceri Ann Davies (Australia): WBT World Ranking: 31=   Ceri Ann is the only non-UK player in the Premier League line-up and is the highest ranked woman on World Rankings. She was only the third woman to qualify for the World Indoor Championship and the first female player to reach the last 16.  

The total prize-money for the Premier League is £40,000 with the eventual winner netting £20,000.

Image CONGRATULATIONS TO BARRY BROWN AND HIS GUIDE MIKE NIXON WHO HAVE BEEN SELECTED IN THE AUSTRALIAN TRAINING SQUAD TO COMPETE IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AT MOOROOLBARK IN VICTORIA.   BARRY & MIKE WILL MOST LIKELY GO ON TO BE IN THE TEAM TO ATTEND THE 2009 BLIND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN JOHANASBURG.
